Hey Everybody -
My name is Kate Webb. I am a junior Biology major, Careers in Medicine minor. I am from Roanoke, VA, right down the road from Blacksburg. This is my first Women's Studies class and I am taking this to fill a core requirement. I plan on going to medical school when I graduate and eventually doing medical mission work (at least for a little while). This summer I went to Guatemala with VCOM (the osteopathic school here in Blacksburg) on a medical mission trip. I enjoy running and recently did a half marathon. After spending time in a foreign country I would like to look at the different ways cultures treat and view women. I have taken an online course before; however, there was no discussions so I hope I am doing this right! haha I am looking forward to chatting with all of you!
